Incredible Hulk Toys

The Incredible Hulk is an animated character that features in a series of comic books published by Marvel Comics. The idea behind the series is the transformation of a quiet and reserved physicist called Dr Bruce Banner into a hulking green giant and this character was first created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1962.

The transformation of Banner into the Incredible Hulk is usually caused by feelings of intense emotion and the emotion most linked with this transformation is anger. As a big hulking creature Banner has an air of invincibility about him and is capable of performing many feats most of which involve brute force and strength. He is hence often pursued by the police or the armed forces because of the destruction that he causes.

The character of the Incredible Hulk has inspired a TV series and a couple of movies as well. There have been two Incredible Hulk Movies that have been released in recent past. The movie 'Hulk' was released in 2003 was directed by acclaimed Taiwanese director Ang Lee while yet another movie based on the character was released in June 2008 and was called 'The Incredible Hulk'. The 2008 movie had actor Edward Norton in the role of Dr. Bruce Banner.

Apart from TV series and movies this strong green character has inspired a whole host of other merchandise like video games, magazines, and Incredible Hulk toys like action figures, Hulk role play and blasters, Marvel Transformers Crossovers Hulk, Hulk Nerf etc.

This year several new Incredible Hulk Toys were unveiled by the American toy company Hasbro, at the International Toy Fair 2008, which was held in New York City in February These new Incredible Hulk Toys include Hulk Smash Hands which consist of super sized plush fists and help the wearer feel that he is the most powerful being in the universe. The fists make loud sounds when they are bashed together and are quite coveted by action-loving young boys.

Another toy which has found favor with most young boys is the Hulk Power Glow mask which fits all most all head sizes and has eyes that glow when you push a button. The Smashin' Stompin' Electronic Hulk is another popular toy which is an electronic figure with sounds, lights and the works. This Hulk figure also moves his arms in a smashing motion in the manner of the character after whom it is fashioned.

For the more peace loving folk out there an Incredible Hulk toy called is the Hulkey Pokey Hulk which is a 14" tall figure that sings songs like the "Hokey Pokey" and "I'm a Friendly Hulk Hero" and does a 360° twirl.
